“A Little Bit More"

My long-time friend and co-worker Jimmy Drevs always loved to quote, “Tell a story, make a point.” We begin Seminar Three making a major point on the importance of “The Big Ask” A lively debate on favorite motivational movies will lead us through understanding how to always be closing, shoot for the moon, and KISS. We will discuss how to build proper expectations for ourselves and others as we work on giving a little bit more.

I once penned the acronym BOA (Business Owner Availability) to help teach sales teams a valuable time management concept. In section two “Learning to Eat your Frog” we will add new meaning and implement strategies to avoid procrastination and make critical use of your most important asset. Brian Tracy Author of “Eat That Frog,” has said, “Successful people are simply those with successful habits.” We will discuss ways to foster a strong habit of making the best use of your time.

Teddy Roosevelt said, “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” In Section Three “There are no Perfect People” we will discuss how to get in motion and stay in motion. How to attack problems early and learn to work through mistakes towards our goals.

We finally spend quality aerobic time building our mind and endurance in “Ready, Set, Go?” our fourth section. As you learn the value of Swipercise, we will discuss the proper updated exercise in planning and preparation. Legendary college football coach, Paul “Bear” Bryant said, “It’s not the will to win that matters-everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters.” Ready?

We conclude this third seminar in the Manage Yourself to Success series with thoughtful exercises showing the importance of and increasing one’s ability to properly listen. Being positive, giving back, and learning to encourage others to make “Attitude of Gratitude”, possibly our most important fundamental discussion.

“A Little Bit More” promises to be a fun, relaxed approach filled with stories, ideas, and best practices from over 30 years of helping others take their growth to unprecedented levels.

Tom poses a rare mix of wit, humor, creativity, coaching skill, leadership, and of special importance to me is his training expertise. I am appreciative of the management and sales training projects we partnered to create, especially the smash-hit sales management Book Club.
